Our Story

Miss Mariana started Crafty Minds four years ago in her front yard in Miami Shores, when her daughter Luna was still a baby. What began as small sensory classes quickly grew into a community of curious little explorers. Mariana noticed how much Luna thrived when she was immersed in nature and wanted to offer that same opportunity to other children.

Soon, more and more little ones joined the group of one year olds. Mariana’s vision was clear: she understood the deep connection between children and nature and how important it is for them to never lose that bond. She dreamed of a space where Luna and every child could feel free to get messy, explore, and experience every sensory opportunity the outdoors could provide.

Over time, Mariana developed her own curriculum, rooted in nature, sensory experiences, love, and connection. She believed that children should feel free, yet secure with mindful limits. Inspired by Waldorf education, she introduced activities like bread baking, seasonal celebrations, and hands-on crafts that honor the rhythms of nature. These traditions, tied closely to her European roots through her father, brought warmth and beauty to the growing community.

As the groups grew, so did her purpose. Crafty Minds expanded from a small front-yard gathering into the magical place it is today, a space where children are nurtured with love, surrounded by beauty, and encouraged to connect deeply with the world around them.
